Lock upp contestant Munawar faruqui admitted that he is married and has a child
Lock Upp is a reality show hosted by Kangana Ranaut,Directed and produced by Ekta kapoor.Show has been gathering audience’s attention for their most controversial celebrities in a country.
The show has gained its popularity due to its fearless and entertaining episodes, crossing 100M views. Kangana Ranaut is the host of the show and Karan Kundra is the co-host (jailor of the show).
Munawar Faruqui is one of the current contestant in the show,he’s the most popular constatent on the show and been gathering a lot female fans attention.
But recently some of the revelations about his personal life have left so many fans shocked. On the judgment night, Kangana Ranaut showed a personal picture (blurred picture)of Munwar Faruqui with his family on screen in front of all contestants.

On that Munawar said accepted that he was married but he refused to talk about it on the online platform he said”I don’t want to talk about this, not on a social media also not a platform like a lock Upp. This is something I do not want to talk about”.
Later on, Kangana advised him that he should come out clean, not telling the truth will only add negativity to his image, and people will assume 100 different things.
he said, Yes he was married for years, he got married at a very young age of his life and he also has a son, he later added that he and his wife are not living together 1.5 years ,and he’s separation and divorced is already filed in court and that is why he doesn’t want share anything in public.
Another contestant, Anjali Arora confessed her feelings for him during the show, after knowing about his personal life she was in shock too. They both have a very famous hashtag on social media called #munjali. Fans like and adore Munawar and Anjali’s friendship on the show.
Later after the judgment night Poonam Pandey(another contestant)and Anjali went to him, console him, and tried to calm him down. Munawar asked both of them that do they want to ask him anything? well both of them denied it, Poonam said her personal life is also similar has his, she is too separated from her partner and she knows how it feels. and she can understand him.
Munawar Farooqui is a famous stand-up comedian, He has his fan following even before Lock Upp, he has over a million followers on youtube and Instagram.
Munawar was arrested for “allegedly hurting religious sentiments” while he’s ongoing show in Madhya Pradesh on 1 january 2021.He allegedly made fun of hindu deities and Amit shah.
He was arrested under section 295-A, (deliberate and malicious act, intended to outrage religious feeling of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs”.Also Section 269(unlawful or negligent act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life).
