On February 28, the Delhi government placed a ban on retailers offering discounts, claiming that it was causing crowding, encouraging drinking, and encouraging harmful habits among some liquor licence holders.
NEW DELHI:- COURT SAID,
“I’m rejecting the applications… “I shall upload a full order,” Justice V Kameswar Rao remarked. The high court had deferred its verdict on Monday after receiving many requests from liquor licence holders challenging the local government’s prohibition on paying reimbursements to clients.
The applications were filed alongside a slew of other petitions by new liquor licence holders challenging the Delhi government’s February 28 rule prohibiting big liquor discounts.
On March 25, the court will hear petitions asking it to overturn the Delhi government’s ruling.
