Mohammad Faiz emerged as the winner of Superstar Singer 2. The show had its mega finale on Saturday i.e. 3rd September in which Faiz defeated Mani, Pranjal Biswas, Sayisha Gupta, Aryananda R Babu and Rituraj to win the trophy and cash prize of Rs. 15 lakhs.

Superstar Singer 2 Winner : After emerging as the winner of the show, Faiz expressed his happiness and said that he never expected it. “It’s like a dream come true for me. I never thought I’d win because of the competition. Just seeing my family there cheering me on when my name was announced was such a special moment. While they couldn’t contain their emotions, I was frozen because I didn’t know how to react,” he told media.
“Since I started composing, I haven’t looked back. I can’t wait to entertain the world with my songs,” he added.
Mani and Sayisha were declared first and second runners-up respectively. The show, which premiered on April 23, was judged by Alka Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali. It provided a platform to 15 contestants between the ages of seven and 15 to showcase their talent.

The young talents were led by Salman Ali (‘Indian Idol 10’ winner), Pawandeep Rajan (‘Indian Idol 12’ winner), Arunita Kanjilal (‘Indian Idol 12’ first runner-up) and Sayli Kamble (‘Indian Idol 12’ second runner-up) and Mohammad Danish (“Indian Idol 12” third runner-up).
When asked what he would do with the ₹15 lakh prize, Mohammad Faiz told Pinkville, “I will give it to my parents as I participated in the show only for them.

He also said that he does not compete with anyone but himself. “I never thought about the competition or the final. For me, we all just focused on learning and playing music, we never sang just to compete with each other. In fact, I was mentally competing with my own self. Each time I wanted to perform better than the previous one. So I just worked on my skills because I had to beat myself every time instead of looking at how others were singing,” he said in an interview with ETimes.
Runner-up Mani was awarded ₹5 lakh.
