Shehbaj sharif: Pakistani opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday appointed himself prime minister following the ouster of Imran Khan, with his party threatening to withdraw its parliamentary representatives if the former prime minister of Punjab was allowed to run for office on Monday.
The process of electing a new leader for the House began on Sunday after Mr Khan was ousted by a no-confidence vote, becoming the first Prime Minister in the country’s history to be repatriated after losing the trust of the House.
