Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Health has reassured the public that not a single case of monkeypox has been confirmed in the country. The 16 countries that Saudi Arabian nationals cannot enter other than India are Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Indonesia, Vietnam, Armenia, Belarus, and Venezuela, according to Gulf News.
Turkey is included in the list of countries where Saudi Arabian citizens are prohibited from entering. Turkey’s Ministry of Health recorded 1,264 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday after around 138,000 tests were conducted across the country.
Earlier this month, Saudi Airways resumed commercial flights to Istanbul, which had been suspended for nearly two years due to restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19.
India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said there were 2,226 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
