According to a Times Network report, Lawrence Bishnoi, one of the suspects in the gruesome murder of Sidhu Moose Wala, had sent a cannonball gun and a small weapon hidden in a prepared hockey box to kill Salman Khan. The singer was allegedly planted outside the residence of the actor who tried to kill him but backed away at the last minute as they feared they would be caught by the police.
The Mumbai police escort was at Salman’s home that day and he had joined the actor as he was supposed to attend a public event, after which the gunman and his colleagues decided to withdraw.

Earlier Thursday, in a major operation, Mumbai police said three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had distributed a letter threatening Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father, author Salim Khan. Mahakal, better known as Siddhesh, better known as Saurabh Kamble, 20, a suspected gang member in Bishnoi who is also involved in the murder of musician Sidhu Moosewala, revealed this during cross-examination. The Mumbai police crime unit questioned Kamble in Pune.
He was also arrested by the Delhi Special Police Cell in connection with Moosewala’s murder, and a Punjab police team arrived in Pune to investigate the case. He allegedly told investigators that three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang appeared. Jalor in Rajasthan and one of them placed a book on a bench in the Bandra Bandstand area where Salim Khan, a well-known screenplay writer and Salman’s father, sat down after his early morning visit on Sunday.
The letter threatened that Salman Khan and his father would soon face Moosewala’s fate.
