WWE WrestleMania 38: In other main events, Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Championship, while Cody Rhodes resurfaced in a WWE arena to defeat Seth Rollins.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin returned to WWE WrestleMania 38 on Sunday (April 3, 2022) after 19 years and stunned Kevin Owens in an impromptu match with no holds barred. The 57-year-old, also known as “The Texas Rattlesnake”, defeated Kevin Owens in the main event. The two wrestlers fought until Austin cornered Owens and smashed a mud hole into him. Owens then grabbed a steel chair but missed as Austin slipped away and knocked out a knockout for the win.
In other mainline matches, Cody Rhodes reappeared in a WWE ring to defeat Seth Rollins while Bianca Belair reigned over Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Title.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair also outlasted Ronda Rousey.
Meanwhile, WWE fans can expect more exciting action on Day 2 of the event.
Edge wins in style
We saw a number of impressive moves from both men. Edge bets on a desperate DDT and covers AJ, but AJ folds to 2. AJ then held Edge on his shoulders and bet for a Fireman suplex. Both men also struggled with submission maneuvers as AJ attempted to hit the curb breaker, which Edge converted into an armbar.
The crowd was amazed at the resilience of the two men. With a good arm, we saw AJ throw a vicious superplex at Edge from the top turnbuckle to the front apron. Both men were on the floor and made it to the ring before the ref gave a 10. AJ took advantage and did a Springboard 450 then hit a Styles Clash, but Edge was incredibly out of cover on a 2.
In the final moments, AJ went to the apron to put on the phenomenal forearm, but Damian Priest came out of nowhere near the ring and stopped there. To AJ looked at it but went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Edge caught it mid-air with a vicious spear and won the match by pinfall. After the match was over, Damian Priest got in the ring and Edge and Priest went backstage together.
Sheamus and Ridge Holland beat New Day
Sheamus and Ridge Holland quickly beat New Day, thanks to a distraction from Butch. Before the match could even begin, Butch Sheamus and Holland attacked both Kofi Kingston and King Woods.
The match ended quickly when Butch distracted the referee and Sheamus hit a brogue kick on King Woods, followed by Ridge Holland’s finishing maneuver that helped him pin King Woods. In another match, Pat McAfee defeated Austin Theory.
Roman Reigns wins the ‘winner take all’ match
As soon as the bell rings, Brock Lesnar immediately takes off his gloves and attacks Roman Reigns. Brock goes straight to the guts of Reigns with a kick and a series of punches.
Reigns was completely mauled by Brock in the first half of the duel and the Universal Champion couldn’t fight back. Roman was tied to the top rope and walked out in pain.
The referee started the count for Brock to return to the ring, and Brock just returned to the ring at the 9th count.
Roman hits another spear once Brock is back in the ring and goes for cover but Brock pulls out. Roman hits three Superman punches, but Brock is surprisingly charged by his opponent’s attack.Roman hits Brock in the corner with another javelin, crushing the referee. The referee drops, giving Roman plenty of time to hit Brock with a low punch, followed by a championship punch to Brock’s skull. But Brock comes out surprisingly.
As the match drew to a close, Brock grabbed his kumora lock and nearly knocked Reigns out, but Paul Heyman comes to the rescue by pushing the bottom rope towards Roman to help him break the lock.
Roman then got up and hit Lesnar with a running spear – the 5th spear of the match – and bet on a successful pinfall to defeat the beast incarnate with hooks or crooks and become the undisputed universal champion of the WWE.
