World Environment Day 2022, it is celebrated on June 5th each year, emphasizing the importance of nature and raising awareness of nature’s conservation. The World Environment Day program is the United Nations’ primary platform for raising awareness of environmentally threatening issues. Each year, the program revolves around a specific theme to emphasize the importance of the day.
The theme of this year: The slogan for 2022 World Environment Day hosted by Sweden this year is “Only One Earth”. The topic should focus on “sustainable living in harmony with nature”.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres in his message for World Environment Day said, “It is vital we safeguard the health of its atmosphere, the richness and diversity of life on Earth, its ecosystems, and its finite resources. But we are failing to do so.”
He also said that “We are asking too much of our planet to maintain ways of life that are unsustainable. “This planet is our only home.”
HISTORY, World Environment Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly at the time of the Stockholm Conference in 1972. This is the first world conference with the environment as the main agenda. The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment has declared that the right to live in a healthy environment is a fundamental human right. The conference also saw the creation of the United Nations Environment Program.
