The lawsuit, brought by a group of doctors, sought to postpone the postgraduate medical entrance exam on the grounds that the exam, currently scheduled for May 21, conflicts with the ongoing NEET PG 2021 consultative process. . It should be noted that the exam is scheduled to take place on May 21.
Earlier on Thursday, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to request the postponement of NEET-PG 2022. The IMA urged the ministry in its letter to the Minister of Health Health, scheduled for May 21, to postpone the exam.
In the letter, the IMA said the small gap between counseling and testing in 2021, the ineligibility of 5,000 medical interns to take the test, and the backlog in counseling exist.
Need of postponing Neet PG 2022
“The difference between the date of the NEET PG exam 2022 and the completion of the tips in 2021 is too short for an aspirant to prepare and sit for an extremely difficult exam like NEET PG,” the IMA said in his letter to the Ministry of Health.
“A further 5,000 to 10,000 innocent trainees who served as COVID warriors during the COVID-19 pandemic are not eligible to present themselves to NEET-PGs due to the delay in completing their final exam and, therefore, their trainee exceeds the limit for the exam. established eligibility criteria,” IMA said.
