Jammu Kashmir latest news: Teacher shot dead by Terrorists: in Jammu and Kashmir kulgam . A female teacher has died in a shooting after terrorists shot at her in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam on Tuesday.

Rajni Bala, 36, a Hindu and a resident of Samba (Jammu sub-county), sustained injuries when terrorists opened fire on him in the area of Gopalpora, Kulgam where he was being held as a teacher, police said.
Bala, who was injured, was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors said he died on arrival, officials said.

“Terrorists involved in this heinous crime will soon be identified and will no longer be involved,” police said. A universal attack is fenced in to catch the killers.
Meanwhile, the Kashmiri Pandits staged a protest in Srinagar against a terrorist attack. A relative of Bala said, “We want justice. The government must do something about the planned killings. Security should be provided to the immigrant workers (Kashmir section).”
Security forces were dispatched to the scene of the attack and a search operation was launched. Troops and police were deployed at a high school where a woman was shot.

The woman, identified as Rajni Bala, was a schoolteacher, police said. She lived in Samba in the Jammu section with her husband and daughter. His body will be brought to Samba today and his body will be cremated this evening.
A relative of Rajni Bala told ANI news agency, “She was my sister’s sister and she was here two months ago. She said everything was fine and there were no threats to her. Suddenly, sometime back, she had said so. A little fear. Today it became clear.”
Another relative said the government should deal with targeted killings and seek the protection of immigrant workers living and working in Kashmir.
The murder of Rajni Bala is the latest in a series of killings of civilians in the Valley. On May 12, finance minister Rahul Bhat was killed by soldiers in Budgam district. Last week, TV singer Amreen Bhat died after Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists opened fire on him in the Chadoora area of Budgam.
National Congress leader Omar Abdullah lamented the incident, saying, “It is very sad. This is another murder in a long list of recent attacks on unarmed civilians. They will not rest until the situation is calm. May the deceased sleep peacefully. (Sic)”
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti condemned the attack and lashed out at the government for the latest killings.
“While false allegations against Kashmir are commonplace, it is clear that targeted killings are on the rise and are a major cause for concern. We have condemned this cowardly act that plays a tragic role in the anti-Muslim history perpetrated by the BJP (sic),” Mifti said. in a tweet.
New protests have erupted in Srinagar after the killing of a female teacher. Kashmiri Pandit government officials joined the protest and demanded relocation.
National Congress vice-president Omar Abdullah called the teacher’s attack “an abomination”.
Sajad Lone also condemned the killings, saying cowardice was also declining.
“A teacher, an innocent woman from Samba in Kulgam, was shot dead, may her soul rest in peace,” he said.
BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur said he strongly condemned the attack. “Another serious terrorist act in Kulgam. Attacking unarmed civilians, and women, is not courage but an act of frustration,” he added.
This is the second Kashmiri Pandit assassination in May. Earlier this month, two civilians – including Kashmiri Pandit employee Rahul Bhat – and three off-duty police officers were killed in Kashmir by terrorists.
The deaths follow a series of assassinations that have taken place since August 5, 2019, the day the Union government stripped Jammu and Kashmir of special status and demoted the Union area while simultaneously merging the region into J&K and Ladakh Ts.
