Popular singer and one of the best singer of punjab Sidhu Moose wala shot dead more than 20 rounds. Famous Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, had just joined Congress before the Punjab election.
Moose Wala was running in the by-elections for the Congress ticket from Mansa. He was defeated by Dr Vijay Singla of the AAP by 63,323 votes. Coming from Moosa, a town in the province of Mansa, Moose Wala joined the ANC in the midst of a major uprising in November last year.
As Congress handed him a ticket to the Mansa Assembly constituency, then-former Mansa MP Member of Parliament Nazar Singh Manshahia rebelled against the party saying it would oppose the appointment of the controversial artist.
Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unknown individuals in the Mansa region, three people including Sidhu were injured in the shooting.
Sidhu Moosewala was among 424 VIPs who lost their security cover yesterday as part of Bhagwant Mann’s government’s plan to end VIP culture.

Chandigarh: The safety cover of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead in the Mansa region, was withdrawn yesterday.
Moosewala, a well-known rural figure, was among the 424 dignitaries who lost their security guards yesterday as part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s anti-VIP program.
These VIPs include retired police officers as well as religious and political leaders. Earlier, the country’s government had withdrawn the security of former ministers, 184 members of parliament and private defenders.

Last month, the security of 122 former ministers and 122 members of parliament was withdrawn.
Former Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, Raj Kumar Verka, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and the family of former Prime Minister Charanjit Singh Channi were among those who lost their security cover.
The attack comes a day after Punjab police withdrew the security of more than 400 people, including Moosewala. The director-general of police (security) said, however, in a message Friday that security “had been temporarily withdrawn due to emerging law and order work”.
The singer is very popular in Punjab for his rap and has a huge following with millions of fans.
