Modern love Mumbai has 6 episodes and each episode has a different story a story which sends the clear and loud message that “love is for all” no matter who you are, what gender you are and whether you are bisexual or straight.
The story is inspired by the New York Times column modern love the anthology series, it is the Mumbai version of this series.
When Modern Love Mumbai was released, many were confused about how the story inspired by the New York Times column of the same name fits into the Indian setting. But yes. And a big thank you to the writers who did a phenomenal job on this Mumbai edition.
Regarding “Modern Love Mumbai,” Alankrita (Director) said: I think it was the best title I’ve ever had, as the characters also rediscover themselves in a way and change a lot of things around them.”

The Amazon Original Series Modern Love Mumbai was created by Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy and starred in a great cast in every episode- Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Tanvi Azmi, Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi, Ranveer Brar, Meiyang Chang, Yeo Yann Yann, Wamiqa Gabbi, Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, and Chitrangada Singh among others. Raat Rani features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Dilip Prabhavalkar.
You can see the 6-episode series of about 40 minutes each at a glance. However, each episode offers a different experience in itself with different setups and characters, so you can enjoy them at your own pace.
Each story has something unique about Mumbai. The Web series premiered on the 13th of May 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
