The ‘Liger movie ‘ team has had a packed schedule before the release of the film on Thursday (August 25).
Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda, along with the rest of the cast, went all out to promote the movie.
During a promotional event, the actor revealed that the former boxing champion and his co-star Mike Tyson lovingly abused in english , which he was too coy to share with the media. He further added that he had a wonderful time with the world heavyweight champion boxer on the sets of Liger
“He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English and I can’t even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him,” Vijay was quoted as telling the media during an interaction.
During the media interaction, Deverakonda shared that the famed American boxer has the same diet as Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, who is playing the female lead in the movie opposite the 33-year-old.
Panday, who was last seen in Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi-starrer ‘Gehraiyaan’, said that she formed a good bond with Tyson and learnt ‘never say no to anything’ from him.
Sharing Tyson’s love for Indian food, music and people, Deverakonda said that crowded places in ..
He loves India a lot for its food, music and people. In fact, he used to ask us to bring Indian food for him which he enjoyed a lot. But yes, he is scared of the crowd here. Once he came here and stayed only in the hotel, as he was scared of the crowd that gathers at the airport or any other place,” said the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star.
This isn’t the first time Deverakonda has shared his affection for the boxer. Last November, the actor took to Instagram to share an image of himself with Tyson, and captioned it, “This man is love.”

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the sports-action film features Deverakonda as the titular MMA fighter boxer.
‘Liger’ was released across India in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages
