Manoj pande will be the first Army Engineer Captain. He is from the 61st NDA Course and is important to complement the efforts of the three services, along with Navy Commander-in-Chief R. Harikumar and Air Force Chief of Staff VR Chaudari.
Manoj pande is appointed as the next Army Chief of India on Monday .Lieutenant Manoj Pande, a colleague of the decorated Army officer, describes him as a humble and warm person who, along with him, the head of the Indian Army, brings a wonderful and diverse experience to the Army.
“The government has decided to appoint Lieutenant Manoj Pande as the next Chief of Staff of the Army,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Prior to being appointed Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary in February, he led an important Eastern Command of the Army based in Kolkata region.
Lieutenant General Manoji Pande, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Army, will be the longest-serving Army officer when General Naravan retires on April 30.
Lieutenant Pande, a graduate of the Defense Academy, was commissioned in December 1982 to Bombay Sappers, one of the regiments of the Engineers. He attended Staff College in Camberley, England, then returned to India and was promoted to Brigadier General in the Northeastern Mountain Brigade and Corps.
After being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, he was Chief Engineer on UN missions in Ethiopia and Eritrea. During his 39-year military career, Lieutenant Pande commanded 117 Engineer Regiments along the J & K Line of Control (LOC). He continued to command a regiment of engineers during Operation Parakram in the Paranwara sector along J & K’s LOC.
Lieutenant Pande also completed the Muhou High Command course at Army War College and was subsequently promoted to Colonel Q of the 8th Infantry Division. He also served as commander of Andaman and Nikobal Command before becoming a leader of Eastern Command in 2021.
His personnel duties include Brigadier General of the Northeastern Mountain Brigade, Deputy Military Secretary of the Military Secretariat (AMS), Colonel Q of the High Mountains, and Brigadier General of the Eastern Command (Operations). He also undertook the appointment of an additional Secretary of the Army Council’s Military Operations Bureau, a Chief of Staff of the Southern Command, and a Secretary of Discipline and Welfare at the Army Council.
When he takes over, all three service chiefs will be from the 61st course of the Defense Academy (NDA).
