Delhi BJP leader shot dead: Police recovered vital evidence from the scene as the accused fled.
A local Bharatiya Janata party leader was shot dead during Mayur Vihar Phase 3 in Delhi on Wednesday. “Local BJP leader Jitu Chaudhary was shot dead by Mayur Vihar around 8.15pm tonight during Phase 3.
Some blanks and other important evidence was recovered from the scene,” DCP East Priyanka said. Kashyap quoted ANI news agency as saying that while the suspects fled, the police recovered vital evidence from the crime scene and the search for eyewitnesses and CCTV footage is ongoing.
The victim suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced ‘dead’ in the hospital.A few hours after the incident, BJP leader Manoj Kumar expressed his sadness and further said that the BJP leader of Delhi, Adesh Gupta, had also visited the hospital on Wednesday evening to find out the details of the incident: “It is tragic how he was killed. Delhi BJP leader Adesh Gupta also visited the hospital.
Once the medical file (MLC) has been compiled, the body will be moved. The body will be autopsied today. Then the body will be handed over to the family,” Manoj Kumar told ANI.
