Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal criticized BJP leaders for ‘promoting’ Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files and ridiculing BJP workers at the Delhi assembly. However, his speech appears to have backfired as #KejriwalExposed dominated Twitter and netizens accused him of hating Kashmiri pundits.
A speech by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi assembly on Thursday has gone viral, with many sharing it using the hashtag KejriwalhatesKP, saying he hates Kashmiri pundits. In the video, Arvind Kejriwal can be seen taunting BJP leaders for “promoting Kashmir issues”.
Kejriwal asked several state government’s decision of making film tax free. “Request Vivek agnihotri to upload the movie on YouTube .Anyone can watch it for free. What it takes for the movie to be tax free,” Kejriwal asks in the video.
Many shared screenshots of the video where Kejriwal mocks the BJP leaders who promoted the film.
He then urges BJP workers to join the Aam Aadmi party. “Stop acting like sheep. Come to the AAP. You will receive respect and honor.
“Whatever you do, stop promoting images. You look terrible. something [for the nation], but now you’re involved in promoting movies,” he said.
Netizens have wondered why the BJP was wrong to promote a movie when Delhi’s AAP government made movies like 83, Nil Battey, Sannata, Dangal, Neerja and Hindi Medium tax free.
They said the speech “exposed Kejriwal’s hypocrisy”. In fact, #KejriwalExposed topped Twitter for most of Friday.
