The Kedarnath Temple 2022, in Uttarakhand is open to worshipers on Friday as thousands of pilgrims visit the temple.
Kedarnath Temple 2022, was open to all believers on Friday 6th May. More than 10,000 pilgrims gathered today at Kedarnath Dam when the doors of the famous Temple of Lord Shiva opened six months later. Uttarakhand Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his wife prayed at Kedarnath Temple on Friday.
Rawal Bhimashankar Linga Kedarnath opened the doors of Baba Kedar at 6:25 AM. Uttarakhand Prime Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also offered morning prayers with his wife at Kedarnath Temple.
Char Dham Yatra started on May 3rd of this year by opening Gangotri and Yamunotri portals for believers. Now only Badrinath Temple is not yet open to devotees. According to the government of Uttarakhand, the kapat (gate) of Badrinath is held on Sunday, May 8th.
Almost two years later, Char Dham Yatra has been launched without Covid19 restrictions since the outbreak of the pandemic. Unlike last year, the government does not require a negative test for COVID-19 or a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19.
Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP) has carefully prepared to respond to all natural disasters and welcome the pilgrimage to Uttarakhand during the Char dam-Yatra period.
Private medical institutions will provide free medical services to followers of the Char Dham Yatra route to ensure a safe and comfortable yatra for people. A team of doctors and nurses from community groups will provide medical care to members of the congregation during the Yatra throughout the state.
In particular, Gangotri is one of the four most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in the Himalayas along with Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
According to the Uttarakhand government, 7,000 pilgrims will enter Gangotri, 15,000 Badrinath, 12,000 Kedarnath and 4,000 Yamunotri daily. This agreement was reached by the government within 45 days.
