IPL 2022 Mumbai Indians broke their 8 consecutive losing streak by winning yesterday’s match at D.Y.Patil Navi Mumbai stadium.
IPL 2022; On Saturday, Mumbai Indians got their first victory of the season against Rajasthan Royals in D.Y.Patil stadium. Seasoned player Suryakumar Yadav and young player Tilak Player played marvelous partnership and gave their skipper Rohit Sharma the best 35th birthday present, beating Rajasthan Royal by 5 wickets IPL match.
Chasing a victory target of 159, MI reached home in 19.2 overs, with a stunning performance of Surya Kumar Yadav 5 runs in just 39 balls, and Tilak 35 runs in 30 balls adding 81 for the third wicket.
It was MI’s first win after their poor performance of losing all the earlier matches in this season’s IPL 2022, even the results bear consequences for them. but winning the first match after a long time will surely leave them in good mental space.
Mumbai Indians performance yesterday
It was Daniel swam who hit the breathtaking six of the match sending opponents into their frenz. Rohit Sharma continued with his poor performance as he played a difficult delivery by bawler Ravichandran Ashwin and offered an easy catch to Daryll Mitchell at square leg.
The most priced player of 15.25 crores Ishan Kishan seems like in a difficult position to play. As there was no score board pressure on the due they play with momentum by taking singles and doubles.
Rajasthan Royals performance yesterday
Butler wasn’t in his element ,earlier he threatened by hitting six sixes in six balls but managed four on bounce ball and scored 56 in 67 as Rajasthan Royals was restricted to 158 runs.
Shokeen who has bowled flat and tight in his previous matches seems a little low as he gave 47 runs in 3 overs to MI, which included lots of boundaries, which forced him to take wickets but the contribution was only a little beneficial.
Yesterday’s MI performed much better than they have performed in their previous matches. New arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya become the center of attraction with his impressive performances.
