India is a “extremely vital commercial partner” for the United Kingdom, according to the UK trade minister, and the country will continue to cooperate with other countries to ensure that Putin is unable to fund the Ukraine conflict in the future.
Britain is deeply disappointed with India’s stance on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but still sees it as an important trading partner, Trade Minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan said on Thursday.
Asked if India’s stance would affect trade talks with Britain, Trevelyan said: “We are very disappointed. We continue to work with Indian partners.”
