Police in Bhuj, Gujarat’s Kutch district, claimed on Sunday that a teenage girl was gang-raped after being made to drink alcohol.
A 17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped after being forced to drink alcohol produced in the countryside on the outskirts of Bhuj town, Kutch district, Gujarat, police said on Sunday. .
Four people have been arrested in connection with the crime, which took place on March 16 at a farm at the foot of a hill in the Bhujia area, Kutch West Police Superintendent Saurabh Singh said.
The teenage victim was found unconscious and taken to hospital by nearby residents, he said. “She had gone to the farm with a friend, where the defendants forced her to consume alcohol and drank it themselves, after which they gang-raped her.

The woman was raped by more than one person and medical reports are awaited from the victim to determine whether the other two defendants also raped her, said another official involved in the investigation.
He identified the defendants as Hussain Kakal, 35, Rahul Sathwara, 19, Valji Vadhiyara, 24, and Mahesh Maheshwari, 20, who were taken into custody every ten days.
