From March 27, India will enable scheduled commercial international passenger services to resume.
“The Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to or from India from March 27, 2022,” an official statement said on Tuesday, citing increasing vaccine coverage around the world and engagement with stakeholders.
“As a result, the suspension of scheduled commercial international passenger services to or from India is only extended until 2359 hours IST on March 26, 2022, and air bubble arrangements will be extended just to that extent.”
The Centre had decided last year to allow scheduled commercial international passenger services to resume on December 15th.
However, after the spread of the Omicron form of Covid-19, the decision was put on hold.
