NEW DELHI UPDATE :
Active cases accounted for 0.04 percent of total illnesses, and the national recovery rate of COVID-19 was recorded at 98.75 percent, the Department said. An increase of 649 cases was recorded on the active COVID-19 within 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.84 percent and the weekly rate was 0.54 percent, according to the department.
The number of people infected with the disease has risen to 4,25,21,341, with a mortality rate of 1.21%.
The total volume used in the country to date under the COVID-19 national vaccination campaign has exceeded 187.71 crore.
COVID UPDATE :

Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh count a number of new cases during the week, most of them coming from NCR cities. These were the only three states where cases had registered an increase last week.
This week, nine other states reported an increase in cases, including Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bengal, Rajasthan and the Punjab.

In view of the increase in Covid-19 cases in some provinces, the Department of Education and Writing at Jharkhand School has asked schools to suspend morning meetings, cultural programs and sports, officials said on Monday.
The Department of School Education and Literacy has released a new Covid-19 guide for Jharkhand schools regarding the increase in Covid-19 cases in other provinces.
As per the new guidelines, schools have been asked to undergo regular health check-ups in conjunction with nearby health facilities and district administrators have been instructed to approve random Covid-19 tests for students and teachers. Morning meetings, cultural programs and sports are still being suspended from schools, an official report said.
The secretary of the Department of Education and Writing, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, in a letter to all deputy commissioners, district education officials and district superintendents of education, urged them to follow the guidelines of COVID-19 in an effort to curb the spread of the disease.
The Matra district authorities on Monday instructed temple officials to ensure that volunteers complied with Covid-19 guidelines following growing cases in neighboring districts.
