England Women Cricketers Katherine Brunt & Nat Sciver got married on Monday at a private ceremony after 5 years of relationship.
England Women Cricketers, Katherine & Nat both of them been dating for 5 years they got engaged in October 2019 and they were gonna get married in September 2020 but because of Covid they didn’t but tomorrow in a private ceremony, they both got married to each other.
Sciver and Brunt were members of the 2017 World Cup championship team. Sciver recorded 369 runs in the tournament and finished sixth on the best run list. She also contributed to the final against India, which recorded 51 runs.
Brunt and Sciver also represented England at the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year. They lost in the first three games but eventually reached the final against Australia.
In the final, their title defence ended against Meg Lanning of Australia as they lost by 71 runs while chasing 365. Sciver had an unbeaten record of 148 but on the day went to Australian Alyssa Healy, who scored her own highest ODI score of 170 runs from just 138 serves.
However, Australia was too strong for a world-class team in the 2022 World Cup final, beating England to win the title. England is currently focusing on the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa next year.
Isa Guha was the first one to congratulate them on Instagram after that only it was revealed that the duo got married and then the England Cricket board congratulated the couple.
She along with other members of the England cricket team attended the wedding.
Sciver and Brunt are not the first (same-sex) couple to marry or enter the cricket world, as before that Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu from New Zealand and Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk from ‘South Africa were also married. Nat and Katherine have been big assets for England in recent years.
