Delhi Metro Rail Corporation : has confirmed the delay in services between Tilak Nagar and Karol Bagh on the Blue Line after the sight of a passenger on the road in Tilak Nagar.

A passenger on Friday jumped onto the tracks at Tilak Nagar Railway Station and caused Delhi Metro service delays on the Blue Line.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DRMC) has confirmed delays in services between Tilak Nagar and Karol Bagh on the Blue Line following the discovery of a passenger on the road in Tilak Nagar.
After a stop of more than 15 minutes, normal services were restarted on the affected line.
Similar delays were reported on Blue Line services yesterday. DMRC took to its Twitter to inform passengers about the delay, saying, “Service delays between Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City / Vaishali. Regular service on all other lines.”
CORPORATION SAID:
corporation said trains on the Blue Line were affected from 9.10am to 10am due to poor visibility, resulting in slow trains in manual mode for complete safety.
“As a result of this (signing issue), overcrowding of the trains occurred which led to delays in services during this time. The signing issue was resolved at 10 a.m. and after that, normal train services were gradually restored to the entire line,” he said.
Blue Line connects Vaishali with Noida and Dwarka.
A 62-year-old man has committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at station number 1 at Tilak Nagar municipal station, Delhi, on Friday.
The deceased, Surendra Kalia, was reportedly depressed.
ACCORDINGLY TO DMRC REPORT :
At about 11.20am, the DMRC announced that the green line between Tilak Nagar and Karol Bagh was facing service delays. It also said that standard resources are available on all other tracks.
“Renewal of the Green Line, Delay of services from Tilak Nagar to Karol Bagh due to commuters on the way to Tilak Nagar. Regular service on all other lines” on Twitter DMRC.
Earlier, on Thursday morning, services between Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City and Vaishali were affected and resumed after about 90 minutes, DMRC announced on its Twitter account.
DMRC takes its Twitter handle regularly to inform passengers of any delays and makes announcements regarding the municipal system.
