Danish Open 2022: R.Madhavan son’s won his second medal for the freestyle in 800m.
Danish Open 2022: Indian swimmer Vedaant Madhavan continued to run great and won the men’s 800m freestyle gold medal at the Denmark Open in Copenhagen.
The 16-year-old kid improved his best at 11:48 and stopped the clock at 8:17:28. He passed local swimmer Alexander L. Bjorn at 0.10 and took the top spot on the podium on Sunday night.
Vedaant’s performance was enough to win him gold at the tournament, but well below international standards. Robert Finke of the United States won the gold medal at the time of 7: 41.87 at the Tokyo Olympics last year, but the world record of this event is 7: 32.12.
However, Vedaant, the son of Indian actor R Madhavan, showed a significant improvement. He has improved his personal best in all three events he has participated in at the current tournament.
After winning a silver medal at the 1500m Freestyle Event on Friday, he improved his 200m Freestyle Time and finished 12th overall in the event.
Many Bollywood stars including Priyanka Chopra, Esha Deol, Shilpa Shetty, etc congratulated R.Madhavan on his post on Instagram.
Indian swimming champion Sajump Lakash finished fifth in the men’s 100m butterfly “A” final with a time of 54.24, and Tanish George Matthew led the “C” final with the clock set to 56.44.
The top eight swimmers in the
heat will be in the “A” final, the next eight will be in the “B” final, followed by the “C” final.
Finalist:
The 28-year-old Prakash, preparing for the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games, won the gold medal in his favorite race, the 200-meter butterfly, on the first day.
In the Women’s 200m Freestyle, Shaktibara Krishnan set a time of 2: 14.27 in 34th place out of 42 swimmers.
India currently has three medals running at the conference, including two gold and one silver.
On the professional side, R Madhavan will soon appear in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film is based on the life of Nambinarayanan, a former Indian scientist and aerospace engineer at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Rocket: The Nambi effect also marks R. Madhavan’s directorial debut.
