LSG vs RCB eliminator Ipl 2022, On Wednesday at Eden Gardens Rajat Patidar played a beautiful knock of 112* runs and it helps RCB in creating a strong base for their team. He also became the first Indian uncapped player to hit a century in the IPL playoffs. No doubt he stood as a saviour for RCB in yesterday’s match. Patidar had a memorable day in the field as he made the undefeated 112 from just 54 and led to a total of 207/4 at the end of the 20 overs.
After Faf got out in the very first over the momentum slightly got shifted towards RCB and Rajat came and stayed on the pitch with Virat Kohli, he (rajat) had taken some time to settle down on the pitch once he got familiar with it he was unstoppable and played a tremendous knock. They both put 57 runs on the loss of one wicket at the end of Powerplay.
In the 8th over Virat Kohli lost his wicket to Avesh Khan, in the 10th over Glenn Maxwell also got out to Kurnal Pandya and in the 13th over Lomror also lost his wicket to Ravi Bishnoi.
After that Dinesh Karthik came to bat, he and Rajat had an amazing partnership (50 runs) for the 5th wicket and Karthik made 37 runs off 23 balls. They both stayed on the pitch till the end of 20 overs & makes 207/4.
In response SuperGiants batsmen had to make 208 runs in 20 overs, KL Rahul started slowly and finished with 79 runs off 58 balls. Deepak Hooda made 45 runs off 26 balls. Manan Vohra made 19 runs off 11 balls but LSG was 14 runs behind.
Q. de Kock got out in the first over of the match he lost his wicket to Siraj. After that, there was a small cameo by M. Vohra but he also got out in the 4th over to Hazelwood. Then there was a partnership between Hooda and KL which made every fan believe that LSG could still win but in the 14th over Hooda got out to Hasaranga.
LSG was expecting that Stoinis and Kurnal can make runs but they both disappointed the team and the fans and lost their wickets. KL Rahul got out in the 18th over to Hazelwood and in against LSG made 193/6.
For RCB Josh Hazelwood bowled well he took 3 major wickets including the wicket of Kurnal Pandya. Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj and W. Hasaranga took 1 wicket each.
Now RCB will face Rajasthan Royals in the next playoff tomorrow at 7.30 pm. The winner of this match will play in the finals of IPL against GT.
