One of the 150 new DTC electric buses, which was loaded on DTC vessels on Tuesday, broke down due to an increase in car temperature above the stated limit, hours after being marked at the Indraprastha Depot here. Delhi Transport Corporation, however, said the bus stopped due to a built-in security feature and was returned to the road within two hours after the team caught it.

Delhi Transport Corporation Karamchari Union said bus number DL 516G D2610, from Rohini Depot Sector 37, crashed around 4 pm on the day of the launch. The DTC quoted on Twitter as saying, “Electric bus number 2610 had a temperature rise above the stated range and therefore the vehicle stopped automatically, due to its built-in safety feature. . ” During a flagship event, Kejriwal announced that the capital would be boasting about 2,000 such XNUMX buses next year.
The prime minister said the Delhi government plans to spend Rs. 1,862 crore on the purchase of electric buses for the next 10 years.
The three EV depot depots at Mandela Kalan, Rohini Sector 37, and Rajghat, cost around Rs. 150 crores, also anointed Tuesday.
Kejriwal was on one of the buses along with Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, secretary-general Naresh Kumar and other senior officials.
The installation of 150 state-of-the-art electronic buses, including CCTV cameras, panic buttons,s, and GPS, on DTC ships on Tuesday, took place almost 11 years after a public transport operator purchased so many buses.
