Bharti Singh apologized to her fans, as she was accused of hurting religious sentiment. The comedian faced so much hate from netizens as her old video got viral. In the video where she is seen making fun of people’s mustache and beard, the netizens say she was disrespectful towards the Sikh community.
In the viral Video, Bharti talked to her friend-actor Jasmin Bhasin during her appearance on her comedy show series Bharti ka show on Shemaroo comedy, Bharati says in the video” Dhaadi mooch kyu nahi chahiye, Dhaadi Mooch ke bade fayde hote hai,dhoodh piyo aur dhaadi muhh me daalo,sewaiyoo ka taste ata hai, Mere kaafi friends logonki Shaadi hui hai na, jinki itni itni dhaadi hai,sara din dhaadi me se juu nikalte rehtte hai(what’s wrong with beard and mustache when they have so much benefits, Drink milk and then out the beard in your mouth you will get Sewaiyaa taste, many of friends have gotten married to men with long beards, and spend the entire day removing lice from them)
After so many talks, Bharti took on her Instagram and made an apologizing video, which said” For the past two days. A video has been going viral. People have also sent this to me, sent messages that I have made fun of beard and mustaches. Please watch that video I have not mentioned any religion or any caste in it, or that people of this religion keep such beards and face such problems.”
She continued “You can watch the video, I have never said that Punjabi people keep their beards. It was a genuine conversation, I was doing comedy with my friend. A lot of people keep a beard and mustache to this day. But if people from any religion or caste have been hurt by comments, I apologize to them with folded hands, I am a Punjabi myself born in Amritsar, I will always keep my Punjab’s honor and I am proud being a Punjabi”.
Bharti captioned her video my sayin “Main comedy karti hoon logo ko khush karne ke liye na ki kisi ka dil dukhane ke liye.agar meri kisi baat se koi hurt hua tho maaf kar dena aapni behan samjh ke”(added emoji with folding hands).
Bharti Singh is currently a host in the show named Khatra Khatra on colours tv with her husband Harsh Limbachiya.
