World war 3 begin ? Russia-Ukraine War: Moscow’s neighbor’s invasion has sparked a wave of support from Western countries who have seen the influx of weapons into the country.
KYIv ( RUSSIA ) :
Kyiv: Russia has warned of a “real” threat from the outbreak of World War III, ahead of Tuesday’s meeting between the United States and its allies regarding the export of more weapons to war-torn Ukraine.
The attack on Moscow by its neighbor has sparked widespread support for Western powers who have seen the influx of weapons into the country to help it fight Russian forces.
But Western nations have been reluctant to deepen their involvement, for fear of provoking a nuclear war against Russia.
Speaking to Russian media outlets, Moscow Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned of the dangers of the Third World War “critical” and criticized Kyiv’s view of peace talks.

“Of course, you can’t look down on me,” Lavrov said.
For months, President Volodymyr Zelensky has been questioning his allies in Western Ukraine about heavy weapons – including firearms and warplanes – and vowed that his troops could turn the tide of war on explosives.
Phones seem to be ringing now, as many NATO countries promise to provide heavy weapons and equipment, despite protests from Moscow.
On a landmark trip to Kyiv over the weekend, Pentagon official Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Zelensky and pledged $ 700 million in new aid to Ukraine.
“The first step to winning is to believe you can win,” Austin told a group of journalists after meeting with the Ukrainian leader.
“We believe we can win – they can win – if they have the right equipment, and the right support.”
And at the invitation of the United States, 40 countries will once again host a security conference in Germany on Tuesday to discuss more in Ukraine – and to ensure national security in the long run once the war is over.
Among the invited countries are European allies of the United States, but also Australia and Japan – who fear that Russia’s victory over Ukraine will set an example and promote China’s regional interests.
Finland and Sweden – countries that are generally neutral – have been considering NATO membership since Russia invaded Ukraine – are also on the guest list.
Death and destruction :
But far from the chaos and chaos, further, civilians continue to die in the outbreak of war that erupts throughout war-torn Ukraine.
At least five people were killed and 18 others injured on Monday after a Russian rocket attack on a railway station in central Ukraine’s Vinnytsia region.
The head of Ukraine Railways, Alexander Kamyshin, had previously declared an attack, accusing the Moscow military of “systematically” destroying the railway infrastructure.
Scores of people were killed earlier this month in Russian strikes at a railway station used to evacuate a town east of Kramatorsk.
The second Ukrainian city of Kharkiv is still under siege and Moscow troops are reuniting in the south, but Russia’s attempt to break into eastern Zaporizhzhia has failed, the Department said.
IN KHARKIV :
In Kharkiv – facing a series of rocket attacks in Russia since the war began three months ago – children have spoken to AFP about the bombings, their daily lives and the hope for peace.
“I remember kickboxing training and dance lessons,” said Alina, 9, who was forced to sleep in an underground car park.
“Winning would make me very happy. The war will not end immediately but will end in a few weeks, I made a wish.”
Meanwhile on Monday, the governor of Russia’s border region of Ukraine blamed Kyiv for bombing one of its territories, injuring two civilians and destroying several homes.
“The village was targeted … It is already clear that there are injured residents,” Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov told Telegram.
Russia in recent weeks has blamed Ukrainian forces for invading Russian soil, including two villages in Belgorod and one in the Bryansk region.
Moscow has also accused Kyiv of preventing civilians trapped by Ukrainian troops at Mariupol’s Azovstal steelworks from leaving the besieged industrial zone despite a call for a ceasefire.
Russia’s Defense Ministry has said it will allow people to evacuate the Mariupol iron ore, which was defending Ukraine’s remaining resistance in the southeastern port city.
But Russian troops on Monday evening said no one had used the proposed relief tunnel.
“The Kyiv authorities have also undermined this humanitarian operation,” it said in a statement, accusing the Ukrainian government of “indifference” to its citizens.
International crime :
Forty German strategists will return home from Russia after Moscow announced their expulsion, following Berlin’s decision to expel 40 Russian politicians earlier this month.
From The Hague, the chief prosecutor of the International Court of Justice will join a panel of EU investigators to investigate “allegations of basic crimes committed in Ukraine,” officials said.
A senior prosecutor visited the town of Bucha – the site of the Ukrainian massacre suspected by Russian troops – about two weeks ago. Russia has denied any wrongdoing.
“Ukraine is a place of crime. We are here because we have good reason to believe that the crimes were committed by the court,” Karim Khan said at the time.
Meanwhile, the IMF has warned that Asian countries, like the rest of the world, are embroiled in war, as Russia invades Ukraine and Western sanctions in Moscow raise the price of food and fuel worldwide.
“This is a challenging time for policy makers as they try to cope with the pressure of growth and cope with inflation,” IMF chief executive Anne-Marie Gulde-Wolf wrote in a blog post.
