Local BJP leader shot dead Jitender Choudhary, identified as Jitu, was shot dead outside his home in Mayur Vihar in Delhi on Wednesday evening, April 20, according to police.
DCP East Priyanka Kashyap said the 42-year-old leader was “found lying on the road with blood in front of his home. The victim had gunshot wounds.”
He was found at 8.15pm by staff at the Ghazipur police station while on patrol. Police spotted a group near pack C-1, Mayur Vihar-III, and were going to inspect the area. Choudhary was taken to hospital in a private car, where he was pronounced dead.
Few empty shells and other valuable evidence were found in the area, “said DCP Kashyap, adding that eyewitnesses were being interrogated and CCTV footage was being scanned.

The suspects in the case are said to be missing. The case is being investigated and legal action will be taken against those involved in the incident, police said.
Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta and party leader Manoj Kumar visited the hospital and expressed their condolences on Choudhary’s death, Kumar told ANI.
The man was identified as Jitu Choudhary.

He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors said he had died when they arrived.

Police are searching for CCTV footage. The suspects filled the plains.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mpumalanga) Priyanka Kashyap said the case under the appropriate categories had been registered and police were searching for the killers.
The criminal team inspected the scene and found several empty shells and other important evidence, he said.
