“RRR” tells a fictional story of Indian freedom fighters Komaram Bheem (Jr. NTR) and Alluri Seetharama Raju (Ram Charan) in pre-independence India.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR set another box office benchmark, entering the global 1000 crore club within 16 days of its release. The only other films to top 1000 crores worldwide are Baahubali 2 and Dangal’s Rajamouli.
This makes the epic the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time, overtaking Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Secret Superstar and PK.
Interestingly, RRR, India’s biggest action drama, was also the first Indian film to be released in Dolby Cinema.
