Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will make his first official visit to India on April 2 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit marks the 30th anniversary of Israeli-Indian relations.
During his visit, Bennett will meet Prime Minister Modi and other senior government officials, as well as the country’s Jewish community.
This visit will reaffirm the important bond between the two countries. The purpose of the visit is to advance and strengthen the Israeli-Indian strategic alliance and expand bilateral relations. Bennett and Modi will also discuss strengthening collaboration in various fields including innovation, business, R&D, agriculture, and more.
“I am happy to pay my first official visit to India at the invitation of my friend, Prime Minister Modi, and together we will continue to pave the way for relations between our countries. Modi resumed India-Israel relations, and it is of historic significance. The ties between our two unique cultures – Indian culture and Jewish culture – run deep and are based on deep appreciation and meaningful collaboration,” Bennett said.
“There are many things we can learn from Indians and that is our goal.Together we will expand our cooperation to other areas, from innovation and technology, security and cyber, to agriculture and change climate,” he added. Modi had invited Bennett on an official visit to the country.
