6 matches 6 losses, Mumbai Indians again lost their match against LSG in Ipl 2022.
Mumbai Indians lost their 6th match too ,and remain the only team in season without a single victory.MI lost their latest match against Kl Rahul’s Lucknow super gianst by 18 runs at brabourne stadium.
Lucknow’s skipper Kl rahul played a Magnificent inning by scoring a century against MI, he scored 103 runs and became the man of the match , LSG posted 199/4 in 20 overs, reply to that MI scored 181/9 in 20 overs, and lost .
This is first time in history of Indian Premier League where 5 times title winner Mumbai indians did not win even one match.and hasn’t yet opened their account in the point table of this season.
Mumbai have found two uncapped talent middle order batters in porteas batter dewald Brewis and uncapped indians batter Tilak Sharma.Surya kumar yadav is also exceptionally brilliant though he was not there in the first two matches. But the senior players Kieron Pollard and Rohit Sharma are still not in the form,Senior players should take the responsibility and lift the team ahead.
Not only batting but the bawling department in the team is lacking too, with Pacer Jofra missing in the team,he will play in 2023 selecting him for this season has backfired to Mumbai for sure.
On other hand,Lucknow Giant Kings aka LGK are doing pretty well in the season, by getting 3 wins out off 5.the two matches that they lost were so close call,middle order batter uncapped Ayush Badoni and all rounders like Deepak Hooda and Marcus stoinis from a deep batting line-up for the team.
Unlike Mumbai indians ,bawling section of LGK is equally excellent with pacer Avesh khan,Dushmantha Chameera and jason holder giving their brilliant performances for the team.
Now if Mumbai indians wants to rise up and do a comeback in the league ,they have to do some miracle and win all the 8 matches they have ahead ,that will increase their points in score table.
MI have a lot to figure out as the coming matches are going to come very thick and fast,they have to show flexibility and need to put more efforts and work on their XI strengths.
Will mumbai again win seven out off nine in the playoff? well that’s the other case,but for now it i about taking one game at a time.
